Description

Silloth-on-Solway Town Council is seeking quotations for the demolition and safe removal of the former Pensioners’ Hut which is located within the Eden Street sports area in Silloth.

Scope of Works

Provision of safety fencing to secure the site, isolation and disconnection of drains and services, removal and disposal of asbestos, demolition and removal of the building.  Disconnection of the electricity supply will be arranged by the Town Council. The building contains some asbestos materials.  A copy of the Demolition Survey will be provided for information.  Any foundations will be removed and backfilled, the site will be left safe and level.

The contractor to safely remove the asbestos and arrange for it to be disposed of in the correct manner as hazardous waste.

Other Information

Contractor to provide a copy of their current public liability insurance cover of at least £5m, risk assessments and method statement prior to commencement. A copy of the consignment notes will also be required relating to the safe disposal of the asbestos, after completion.

The Town Council is not be obliged to accept the lowest or any tender, quote or estimate.
