Declarations of Interests
In accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct, all Members of the Council are required to register any disclosable pecuniary interests and other registrable interests they may have.
Copies of the Register of Notification of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests are available for inspection at the office of the Clerk to the Town Council. The Register of Notification of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests for each town and parish council in the Borough are available for inspection on application to the Monitoring Officer at the Borough Council’s offices at Allerdale House, Workington. A member of the public may also ask for photocopies of the register entries to be made to take away, although the Council will make a charge for this service.

Members of the public should be aware that, under the Data Protection Act, they risk breaching the Data Protection Principles if they publish information taken from the Registers (for example on the internet) without the prior written permission of the Councillors concerned. This may give rise to both criminal and civil liabilities.
