Message from Mayor & Deputy

We are very proud to become Mayor & Deputy Mayor of Silloth-on-Solway Town Council. We would like to thank our fellow councillors for putting their trust in us to take on these privileged positions. We would like to say a special welcome to our new councillors, Colin Baty, Andrew Reynolds & Joe Scott.

It’s such a honour to have this opportunity to represent Silloth.  We are looking forward to have the opportunity to work together along side our fellow councillors, staff and volunteers who always go above and beyond to help and support our amazing town. We are hoping as a council to continue to maintain Silloth to a high standard, continue to develop the town plan which the previous council and Town Clerk have worked incredibly hard on.

Last night we have agreed to hold a special council meeting inviting the chair and deputies of Cumberland Council, to come and hear our aspirations for Silloth & see what support and guidance they can offer. We will seek the support and encouragement of other stakeholders in the area to support the town.
