Temporary 10mph Speed Limit – B5300 and B5301 Stanwix Corner Silloth

Below is a location plan showing the extents of a temporary 10mph Speed Limit which has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out drainage repair works.

These works are expected to commence 01st June 2020 with an approx. duration of 8 weeks.

Please see below details of the extents of the speed limit;

Location: Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at speeds in excess of 10 miles per hour along that section of the following lengths of road:-

(i)       B5300 Stanwix Corner, Silloth: From a point approx. 80m south west of its junction with the B5301 for an approx. 200m in a north easterly then north westerly direction; and

(ii)      B5301 Stanwix Corner, Silloth: From its junction with the B5300 for an approx. 80m in a south easterly direction.

N.B Temporary Traffic Lights will be installed alongside the above speed limit to facilitate the majority of these works, however unfortunately due to the nature of the works a temporary road closure may be required, a broadcast will be issued in advance of it being implemented should it be required.

Should you require any further information relating to these works please do not hesitate to contact Laura McClellan at Cumbria County Council.
