Silloth is a classic, unspoilt English seaside town on the solway coast in Cumbria.  It has a superb, extensive town green right in its centre which has been recognised by the Green Flag Award Scheme as one of the very best in the world. Its long promenade provides a lovely walk taking in the majestic Solway Firth and views across the water to Scotland. Silloth-on-Solway has a population of around 3,000 but this swells during the summer months when the town becomes a popular destination for many visitors.  There is an extensive festival and events programme, ranging from its famous beer and music festival to its vintage rally.
